Why I Love Functional Fitness: Outside of playing hockey and skating I could never really say before that I loved working out. But that changed when I joined CFPR. I love the supportive community environment, the way we have fun trying new things, the constant variation of movements, how I’m able to press the stress or worries of the day into a barbell and transform them into something positive, and that I’m healthier all-around. It’s also just fun to lift heavy things.

Favorite Movement: The deadlift.

Fun Fact: One of my first functional fitness goals was to be able to deadlift my husband’s body weight. I can do that now!
